I attended the Dublin AI Conference (hosted by Startup Network Europe) back on Friday, 30th January.

A few interesting tippets to takeaway:

👉 Tech & software subscriptions: use monthly instead of annual given fast rate of change and enhancements

👉 Avoid vendor lock-in

👉 Value is in data over the models

👉 Make a specific person in the firm accountable for AI ROI

👉 My favourite: Is AI a bubble? Even if AI model improvement and investment stopped today, it would take the world 5-10 years to fully unlock all the benefits. Personally, you can see this simply with how so many firms still use excel in so many processes.

Enjoyable networking event afterwards. I highly recommend attending future events.
